Tour itinerary

Day 1: Casablanca to Fes via Rabat.

The four-day journey, which begins in Casablanca, will begin with a quick overview of Morocco’s commercial metropolis. The outside of the famed Hassan II Great Mosque, generally regarded as one of the most recognizable structures in the Islamic world, will be our first visit. After that, we’ll take a stroll down the Corniche. Depending on your arrival time, we may be able to visit a few extra places.

Afterwards, we’ll go to Rabat, Morocco’s capital city. Here, we’ll get the opportunity to see the magnificent Hassan Tower and the lovely Mohammed V Mausoleum.

We’ll leave in the late afternoon towards Fes, going via Meknes. If time allows, we may visit Bab Mansour, which was erected in the late 17th century by Moulay Ismail and is known as the “Moroccan Versailles.” After that, we’ll drive on to Fes and settle into our hotel/riad.

Day 2: Fes to Merzouga via Ifrane and Azrou.

We’ll pick you up from your hotel/riad after breakfast and transport you to Ifrane, a Moroccan town with Swiss influences in its architecture. From there, we’ll proceed to Azrou, stopping at Morocco’s biggest cedar forest and the Middle Atlas Mountains. It’s an excellent location for seeing Barbary Monkeys in their native environment.

We’ll continue our drive to Merzouga after lunch, traveling via Midelt and stopping at the breathtaking Ziz Valley, which will take your breath away. By late afternoon, we’ll arrive in the Merzouga Sahara desert and begin our camel trip to the Erg Chebbi desert camp. You’ll spend the night in our comfy desert tents and eat supper served by the camp’s Berber staff. They’ll also give entertainment in the form of Berber music and star-gazing dance.

Day 3: Merzouga to Dades via Todra Gorges.

We strongly suggest getting up early to witness the sunrise and having breakfast and a shower at the desert camp as part of our 4-day desert trip. Our route to Marrakech will take us via the Tinghir and Todra Canyons, Morocco’s highest and narrowest canyons.

Later in the day, we’ll go to the Dades Valley through the magnificent Dades Gorges, where you’ll be able to view exquisite castles and breathtaking rock formations. We’ll spend the night in the Dades Valley at a small motel.

Day 4: Dades to Marrakech via Ait Benhaddou.

We’ll travel through the Dades Valley to Ouarzazate after breakfast. This road, known as the Way of the Thousand Kasbahs, offers several opportunity for spectacular photography.

We’ll stop at Kalaat Mgouna, commonly known as the “Pink City” or the “City of Roses,” before continuing on to Ouarzazate. We’ll go to the Taourirt Kasbah and the Atlas Film Studios after we get in Ouarzazate. From there, we’ll go to Marrakech through the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, which was erected in the 18th century by El Glaoui, one of the last Berber leaders.

After our tour to the Kasbah, we will travel over the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka (2260m) through the High Atlas Mountains, arriving in Marrakech in the late afternoon. We’ll drop you off at your accommodation in Marrakech, capping out our 4 days desert tour from Casablanca to Marrakech.

Testimonials

Desert Tour !!

Thank you Said for organzing our Sahara tour. This is a late review. Said organized a driver for us (Hassan) from Marrakech to the Sahara desert. We had so fun or the drive singing most of the way. Hassan made it a point to stop at several points of interest along the way. We even stopped for an impromptu Sahara buggy ride on the dunes ( a definite must!) when we got to the Sahara. Said arranged for us to stay in a luxury desert tent with toilet and shower. The following day Hassan drove to Fes, the next stop on the trip. Hassan made the adventure even more memorable. This was way fun and I would highly recommend them to anyone!
Thank you Said and Hassan!

Great experience in Morocco

After giving Said a brief outline of what we enjoy doing and the places we would like to visit, Said prepared an interesting and exciting ten day holiday for us, where we visited many different beautiful and interesting cities. The hotels chosen by Said were excellent, all very clean, comfortable and central. We felt very safe with our driver, Omar, who was friendly and went out of his way to show us many other interesting things. Said was quick to answer any questions we had. The whole trip was very well organised. Well done and thank you so much!
