Tour itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech to Dades via Ait Benhaddou.

The 3-day Marrakech to Fes desert tour begins with an early pick-up from the airport or your Marrakech hotel. Then travel across the breathtaking High Atlas highlands and over the Tizi-N-Tichka pass. There will be stops for panoramic views of the magnificent scenery.

From that, we carry on to the well-known Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. A fortified settlement designated by UNESCO as a World Historic Site. Additionally, the Kasbah has featured in several films, including Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, and others. As well as TV shows such as Game of Thrones. Afterwards we travel to “The gate of the desert” Ouarzazate. After lunch, we will continue to see the Rose Valley, passing past Skoura’s vast palm grove. Eventually, we make our way to Boumalne Dades, where we will spend the night.

Day 2: Dades to Merzouga desert.

Following breakfast, we travel through the Dades valley, stopping at a vantage point above the valley to take in the breathtaking scenery of the Dades gorges. Next we go to Todra Gorges, where the Todra River cut out a great canyon through the mountains, creating a towering red cliff-sided gorge. Feel free to roam around the gorges and take in the scenery. After that, we travel through the Touroug and Tinjdad palm plantations. On the journey, there will be time for lunch.

We arrive in the afternoon in the Sahara desert of Merzouga. Where you transfer to camels to traverse the dusty desert. You will be taken to the top of a high dune to see the spectacular sunset. Next go to the desert luxury camp, where you may listen to Berber drum music while dancing around a bonfire beneath a big open sky of stars. Dinner and sleeping in the camp.

Day 3: Merzouga to Fes via Azrou and Ifrane.

The last day of your desert journey from Marrakech to Fes. You get up early in the morning to see the gorgeous sunrise in the midst of the desert. After breakfast, you return on camels to Merzouga, where your driver awaits. Afterwards we leave the desert to explore Rissani, Tafilalet’s old capital. Rissani is still an important commercial hub in the area, with a bustling souk on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. We proceed to Erfoud after a walk through Rissani souk, where we visit one of the fossilized marble factories.

After that, we travel down the Ziz river and halt for a panoramic view of the Ziz valley. Lunch in Midelt is optional. Afterwards we go to the cedar forest, which is home to the Barbary Macaques. You are welcome to feed them while exploring the forest. Next we go to Ifrane, which is known for its low temperatures, snow, and alpine-style residences; little surprise it is known as Morocco’s Switzerland. Lastly, we will drop you off at the airport or your hotel in Fes. The three-day desert excursion from Marrakech to Fes has come to an end.

Family Trip

It's been such an amazing family holiday well organised by Said to the last detail. Booking was easy and quick for this eight day trip although it's recommended at least the 10 days for such a tour. Thanks to Said and our quite knowledgeable tour guide Hamid explaining to the least detail. Our driver Muhammed an experienced driver has been very cautious and safe. We really miss them as missing friends. Holiday was hassle free as been picked up from airport in Casablanca and dropped there for our flight back home. The tour included several major attractions and activities with the highlight being the camel rides and the stay at the luxurious tents, not to forget the quad bikes in the sand dunes.

Such tours well organised by Said are highly recommended and surely will spread the word with family and friends to experience such an amazing holiday.

Hassle-free, very well organised holiday!

Can't praise these guys enough! What a fantastic holiday. We were in Morocco from the 19th to the 30th of September.. Perfect weather for this country for sure. Our driver and certified tour guide Hamid was beyond helpful and knowledgeable. He drove with care and attention, explaining interesting facts about the areas we were visiting/passing through and providing us with snippets of history to paint a complete picture of the country we were exploring. The itenery Said Ouattou (he was our initial contact person for the holiday) planned for us allowed us to span from Casablanca to Marrakech.. Visiting Rabat, staying in Chefchaouen, visiting Akchour, staying in Fez, in Merzouga, the Sahara desert, Dades Gorge and passing through Ouarzazate whilst making our way towards Marrakech.

We visited the tanneries in Fez, saw the wild monkeys in the Cedar forests, passed through beautiful Ifrane, glamped in the Sahara desert, quad-biked on the dunes, went to Ouzoud Waterfalls, Ait Ben Haddou and the Valley of roses (if you want to see the valley in bloom you have to visit in May however).. And that's only half of what we got up to!

All the Riads and hotels we stayed in were pleasant.. And when we had an issue with one of the accommodations (only because the room was way too small for the amount of luggage etc we had since it was towards the end of our holiday) Said and Hamid worked swiftly to relocate us to a new Riad that was beyond perfect.

I highly recommend Said and his company because we felt safe and taken care of throughout the entire trip. We could relax and truly take in the beauty of Morocco. Furthermore, you can ask for the itenery to include any activities of your choice (E. G. Dune Boarding, Hot Air Balloon, etc.) and also plan to stay/visit other cities of your choice. We for example chose to stay for a relaxed day in Marrakesh (and hit a Hammam & Spa!) rather than going to Essaouira..since we were exhausted by the end of it haha!

I really hope this review helps others to book their Morracan holiday! Very helpful company and we left Morocco with them as our friends 😊🇲🇦
