Tour overview
Our Morocco journey lasts 5 days, beginning in Casablanca and ending in Marrakech. We will see the most stunning and magnificent attractions that the nation has to offer throughout our excursion. Our first trip is the Hassan II Mosque, one of the world’s biggest mosques. Afterwards, we will visit Fes and walk through its medieval Medina streets and alleyways. In addition, we will visit Al Quaraouiyine, one of the world’s oldest universities.
In the next days, we’ll go to the Merzouga Sahara desert to marvel at its beautiful dunes and colors. You will be able to ride a camel in the heart of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. When we return to the north, we will marvel at the Todgha and Dades Gorges, as well as the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. Our ultimate destination is Marrakech, the “red city” and the most popular tourist attraction in Morocco.
Tour itinerary
Day 1: Casablanca to Fes via Rabat.
Our 5-day journey will begin in Casablanca, where we will either pick you up at the airport or at your hotel. Our first stop will be the Hassan II Mosque, the seventh-largest mosque in the world and one of Morocco’s few non-Muslim religious monuments. Afterwards we’ll go to Rabat, one of Morocco’s four royal capitals. We’ll see the Hassan Tower and the Oudayas Kasbah while we’re there. We’ll also get the chance to visit the Chellah site. Afterwards, we’ll go to Fes and spend the night in a traditional Riad.
Day 2: Fes local guided tour.
On the second day of our 5 days deser tour from Casablanca, you will explore the city of Fes with the help of a local guide who will give you a historical background of the region. The Royal Palace, also known as Dar al-Makhzen, will be our first destination. After that, we will go to The Mellah, Morocco’s oldest Jewish neighborhood, which dates back to 1438. It is located in Fes El Jdid, a former region of the Sultan’s Syrian archers.
We will then drive to Borj Nord for a panoramic view of the city before visiting the tanneries and walking through the medieval Medina. We will also visit the universities of Al Quaraouiyine and Al Bouaanania. We’ll spend the night in the same city.
Day 3: Fes to the Merzouga desert.
On the third day of our 5-day trip, which begins in Casablanca, we will travel to Merzouga, the pinnacle of all our Morocco excursions. We will, however, make a few stops along the route. Today, we’ll go to Ifrane, which is renowned as Morocco’s cleanest city. We’ll stop to see the Atlas lion monument, which was sculpted by a Nazi prisoner in return for his release during WWII.
Following that, we’ll go to Azrou to see the Barbary macaque in the Cedar forest. You will get the chance to feed and photograph these primates.
After that, we will go across the High Atlas Mountains to the Ziz valley, a large region of palm palms traversed by Oued Ziz. Later in the afternoon, we will arrive at Merzouga, Sahara desert, where your camels will be ready to take you on a journey into the heart of the desert. We’ll take you to your camp, where you’ll eat, listen to Berber music, and spend the night.
Day 4: Merzouga to Dades Gorges.
We propose that you get up early on the fourth day of our Casablanca desert tour 5 days, to see a spectacular sunrise. After breakfast, you will return to the starting location on camels, where your driver will be ready to begin the day’s excursion. The city of Rissani will be our first destination, where you may visit the market and enjoy the local arts and crafts. Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays are the busiest days in the market.
Afterwards we’ll visit the Tafilalt oasis, where we’ll see an old irrigation system. We’ll have lunch in Tinjdad before continuing on to the spectacular Todgha Gorges, which are situated at 1300m above sea level at the foot of the Great Atlas Mountains and span for 30 kilometers. Following that, we’ll go to Dades Gorges to see the monkey toes rock formations and stay the night.
Day 5: Dades to Marrakech via Ait Benhaddou.
On the fifth and last day of our Casablanca trip, we will travel through the region of flowers and the road of thousands of Kasbahs. Our first destination will be to Ouarzazate’s Cinema City, where we will photograph the Taourirt Kasbah before heading to the Atlas Studio. We will next go to the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a popular tourist attraction in southern Morocco. This fortified settlement is built of mud houses on a hill in the midst of a valley.
Later in the afternoon, we will travel to Marrakech through the Tichka passes, where we will stop to observe the stunning panoramic views and, if time allows, visit an Argan oil cooperative. When you arrive in Marrakech, we will drop you off at your hotel or the airport, bringing our 5 days sahara desert tour from Casablanca to a close.

Awesome holiday
We had a wonderful holiday. Our driver Hamid was the best. He was always on time, very patient, helpful, made us laugh and even explained Moroccan culture. The tour was planned by Said. For us it was well planed. It was relaxing, fun and in 11 days we managed to include the best of Morocco. It included Chefcheon, Fes, Marrakesh, the Dezert. We were introduced to Moroccan life and the way they live. The drives were cut short by stops at interesting sites, scenery or photo time. This was a very nice experience and we would love to go again with Said and Hamid and their family and see more of this wonderful country.

Summer trip to Morocco
Had an amazing summer trip at Morocco full of exciting activities and visits to interesting historical places, all thanks to those involved; our guides Said Ouattou and Hassan Ouattou and our driver Hamid Boghrara. All was organised very well and everyone was really hospitable. We had the opportunity to visit the grand Mosque in Casablanca, the beautiful Chefchaouen better known as the blue city, the Fès Médina where we visited the tenneries and other places full of history, seen wild monkeys, breathtaking waterfalls and views and also listened to traditional music. My personal favourite was seeing the camels for the first time and taking a ride through the Sahara desert and quad biking. Food was also great. Truly recommend this tour as it’s an experience you cannot miss out on. NB: The company, tips and hints and the friendly character of our guides made our trip extra special – undoubtedly the best!
