Tour itinerary
Day 1: Fes to Midelt
Your tour will begin with a departure from Fes and a journey to the Atlas Mountains. You’ll pass through beautiful cedar forests and stop in Ifrane, a charming alpine-style town, along the way. You’ll then travel to Midelt, a town known for its apple orchards and breathtaking mountain scenery. You’ll spend the night in a nearby hotel.
Day 2: Midelt to Merzouga
You’ll leave Midelt after breakfast and travel through the breathtaking Ziz Valley. You’ll pass through many Berber villages and stop to photograph the region’s impressive rock formations along the way. You’ll then proceed to Erfoud, a town famous for its fossil production. You will then travel to the desert town of Merzouga, where you will spend the night in a traditional desert camp.
Day 3: Merzouga Desert Tour
On day three, you’ll have the opportunity to take a 4×4 desert tour of the Erg Chebbi dunes. You’ll meet local nomads and learn about their way of life, stop in Khamlia to listen to traditional Gnawa music, and see the impressive Tissardmin oasis. After that, you’ll stop for lunch before returning to your desert camp for the night.
Day 4: Merzouga to Dades
After breakfast, you will depart Merzouga for the Dades Gorge. You’ll pass through the Todgha Gorge, a breathtaking canyon popular with hikers and climbers. You’ll then travel to the Dades Gorge, where you can explore the stunning natural scenery and spend the night in a local hotel.
Day 5: Dades to Ouarzazate
You’ll leave Dades after breakfast and travel to Ouarzazate, a city known for its impressive film studios and beautiful kasbahs. You’ll stop along the way to see the stunning Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site that has been used as a filming location for many Hollywood films. After that, you’ll travel to Ouarzazate, where you’ll spend the night in a local hotel.
Day 6: Ouarzazate to Marrakech
On the last day of your tour, you’ll leave Ouarzazate for the vibrant city of Marrakech. You’ll pass through the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains and stop in the small town of Tizi n’Tichka for a cup of traditional mint tea along the way. You will then proceed to Marrakech, where your tour will conclude.
