Tour itinerary
Day 1: Fes to Merzouga
On the first day of the tour, you’ll leave Fes and travel south to the Sahara Desert. You’ll travel through the Atlas Mountains, passing through charming Berber villages and seeing Morocco’s breathtaking landscapes. You’ll be able to stop at several scenic viewpoints along the way to take photos and admire the natural beauty of the area.
As you near the desert, you’ll stop for lunch in a small town before continuing on to the Merzouga sand dunes. Here, you can ride a camel through the dunes and watch the sunset over the Sahara. Then, in a desert camp, you’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner complete with music and stargazing.
Day 2: Merzouga to Dades
You’ll wake up early on the second day of the tour to watch the sunrise over the desert before enjoying breakfast at the camp. After leaving Merzouga, you will travel to the Dades Gorges, passing through several Berber villages and seeing the famous Todgha Gorges along the way.
In the Dades Gorges, you can go for a scenic walk and explore the natural beauty of the area. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet a local nomad family and learn more about their desert lifestyle. You’ll spend the evening at a traditional Moroccan riad in the heart of the Dades Valley.
Day 3: Dades to Marrakech
On the final day of the tour, you will leave the Dades Valley and travel to Marrakech. You’ll stop at several interesting places along the way, including the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
You’ll also travel through the High Atlas Mountains, seeing breathtaking scenery and stopping at several viewpoints for photos. Finally, in the late afternoon, you will arrive in Marrakech, where the tour will conclude.
